Let’s Talk Mountain Biking Terrace!
Do you enjoy mountain biking in Terrace? Are you interested in or concerned about the future of mountain biking in Terrace? Whether you are a TORCA member or not, we want to hear from you!
Terrace has become a well known and desired mountain bike destination in northern British Columbia. The popularity of Terrace’s mountain bike scene continues to grow among locals and visitors alike. While Terrace’s mountain bike network has become a highly valued local asset, the network has evolved over the past decade without the guidance of a master plan.
Recognizing this gap, the Terrace Off Road Cycling Association (TORCA) is leading the development of a Mountain Bike Trails Master Plan for the community’s mountain bike network. TORCA has retained RC Strategies, leading experts in mountain bike and outdoor recreation planning, to facilitate the planning process. The plan will define the direction, priorities, and actions regarding Mountain Biking in Terrace for the next 10 years. Development of this plan will better ensure TORCA can take a methodical, strategic, and community informed approach to pursuing and securing future funding, investing our capacity, and pursuing approvals from land managers and other partners.
We invite everyone, whether a mountain biker or not or a member of TORCA or not, to share your ideas about the future of mountain biking in the Terrace region by completing our online survey and our online webmap.
