Just dropped a small fortune on a bike and don’t know where to start?

You’re not alone—and you’re in the right place.

Learn to Ride is a friendly and inclusive mountain bike workshop for adults new to the sport who want to build confidence from the ground up. If you’ve just bought your first bike and are finally giving this whole “mountain biking thing” a go, this is a welcoming space to learn the ropes.

In this two-hour session, we’ll cover the basics:

🔧 Bike Set-Up & Pre-Ride Check – Get to know your bike and what to look for before hitting the trail

🌿 Trail Etiquette – Learn how to ride responsibly and respectfully

🚴 Body Positioning – Stay balanced and in control

🛑 Braking – How to stop safely and smoothly

⚙️ Gearing – Learn when (and how) to shift for an easier ride

✨ Workshop Info:

  • Age 19+
  • Max 4 participants per session
  • Active TORCA membership required

📍Where: The Hub (Pumptrack & Skate Park beside the Sportsplex)
